OUR MISSION

THE MISSION OF THE PROMETHEAN CLASSROOM IS

TO GIVE ALL CHILDREN

THE OPPORTUNITY TO EMBRACE THEIR

ORIGINALITY AND CREATIVE MINDS

BY STIMULATING THEIR CURIOSITY AND ENCOURAGING THEIR THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS IN THE LEARNING PROCESS.

IN THIS MANNER, CHILDREN BECOME THE VERY BEST VERSION OF THEMSELVES.

OUR STORY

"My job is to hold space for children to be who they are destined to be.

Not what we want them to be".

Definition of Promethean:

Clever, Creative, Ingenious, Innovative, Imaginative, Inventive & Original

Caroline Arnal is the founder and curator of "The Promethean Classroom".

With over 30 years experience in both corporate and classroom settings, Caroline recognises the need to educate children not only in an academic sense but also in a creative one.

"In my experience, children have an innate hunger to learn.  However, many traditional curriculums still tend to applaud high academic results and rote learning, which is problematic in many ways.  Whilst the memorisation technique focuses on facts, it does not foster meaningful learning, especially for children who think creatively. This form of learning leaves little to the imagination and with a global workforce that is expanding its value for creative innovators, we seem to be missing the mark.  Discarding this way of educating only hinders a child and can prevent them from reaching their highest potential".

"As educators, we need to understand and respect that all children see the world differently based on their individual context.  I believe it is our responsibility to promote opportunities for children that encourage their creative thinking, independence and love of learning".

The Promethean Classroom uses the charm of storytelling and different modes of expression to stimulate children’s interest through a variety of compelling topics.  By engaging in reading, writing, arts, and open dialogue, children are encouraged to build on their own creative ideas and abilities so that conscious learning takes place without limitations. Cultivating a child’s imagination in this way extends the essence of who they are".

״CHILDREN BECOME BETTER LEARNERS WHEN THEY ARE IN AN ENVIRONMENT THAT DOES NOT LIMIT HOW THEY THINK.  GRANT THEM THIS FREEDOM AND THEY WILL BLOOM".
